2021-2022 Championship Preview - Millwall

Expectations for the season ahead
Millwall have had top half in the last two seasons. With good quality signings, nothing less than a top 10 finish would be a failure.

Main Player
George Saville returning to the Den from Middlesbrough heralds a change. Jed Wallace has been our main player since Saville left. Saville will drive our attacking response from midfield and open up defences and improve our scoring chances, which we missed since he departed.
Rising Star
Danny McNamara went on a season long loan to St Johnstone last season. He was a sensation in Scotland and come January he was brought back and put in inspirational performances at right back in competition with Mahlon Romeo. Both have also played together with good effect too. At 22, the former Republic of Ireland U21 player will become a championship name and break into the Republic’s first team squad.

What transfers are needed?
Five quality signings joined us this summer. We will add to the squad if others leave. If Rowett can, I suspect he will look to loan another striker in development and ideally one from a top Premier League side.
Predicted Finish
A top ten finish is what is expected and I predict we will finish 6th.
