About My Best Eleven Podcast

Hosted by Luton Town Legend Marvin Johnson and Media Pundit Andrew McMellon.
We interview ex-professionals (players, managers, officials) as well as celebrities and find out who would make their ultimate Best Eleven Players they ever played with.

Founded in 2020, this podcast has rapidly grown in popularity and reputation. With listeners from all over the world tuning in to hear who makes the cut in their favourite players or teams best 11. Fans of all clubs have loved hearing insider stories from the changing room, training ground and elsewhere.

 

 

Players interviewed range from the 1970's to today, spanning every era and all parts of the league pyramid. We have also interviewed managers who talk through the best 11 players they have ever managed. 

MARVIN JOHNSON

Marvin, born in Aylesbury, England is a lover of all things football. When he is not playing it, he loves coaching and watching it with his boyhood club being Liverpool

Having played over 350 times for Luton Town during an illustrious career, lasting 15 years, Marv has seen everything as a pro and a coach having played under more than 10 managers. 

He is the co founder of My Best Eleven Podcast and submits articles from a coach and ex players perspective, giving the tactical angle.

Now living in Falls Church, USA, he spends his time coaching Female Soccer and loves watching them grow as well as playing the game in a passing and pressing style

ANDREW MCMELLON

Andrew, born in Luton, England, is a football fan who loves writing and talking about all things football. He supports Luton Town and now he lives in Melbourne, Australia, he follows Melbourne City.

He works as a host on My Best Eleven Podcast, is a regular pundit on It's Not Called Soccer Podcast as well as writing for a number of different publications on all things football.

Having lived in Australia for over 10 years, he enjoys his passion of watching football from afar as well as the occasional local game.

His other passion is coaching youth teams and is currently working with the Under 7's at Mount Martha Soccer Club.
